Guest vocals…

A few hours yesterday was spent in Studio Apocalypse in Gävle, recording guest vocals on the doom track (which is yet to be named).
Daniel Bryntse (Isole) did an outstanding job behind the microphone, and even performed some growl for the first time in half a decade!

Here’s a short clip from the recording…

4 songs finished!

So, we weren’t able to finish the last 2 songs, but we did however make the best of everything and finishing all the guitars on the four we have recorded. Now we just need to put on some vocals and Matte has to do his thing with the keyboard. When this will be done is yet to be decided, but we’ll keep you posted….

Recording day

Yesterday we spent all day recording. First I put down guitars for the “doom”-song and then we rehearsed the changes I just made on another song and also recorded the drums for it. Just one full song to go, but we’re running out of time…

One week left…

So, I only have about one week left here in Skellefteå. I’ve been working hard to finish all the lyrics and to put the recording of the final songs together, but unfortunately there’s no way we going to be finished before I leave. We only have rehearsed one of the 3 songs remaining and I have no clue when we are going to record that one so we can start rehearsing the rest.

I really would have liked to have the drums for all tracks completed, they are the biggest problem as we have to get together and rehearse, and it will be a long time before I can come up here again.

Just wanted to keep you all posted.

recording process

So… we had a big talk today regarding the recording. We’re running out of time and has yet to put alot of shit on tape… The problem is that Mattias is too busy with other things to put that money in the pocket for his family. I’ve been here for 3 month’s now and we have nothing finished, I doubt that we will get anything finished before I leave Skellefteå in 2 weeks.

We did however decide to do our best to at least record the basics (drums most importantly) of the remaining songs before I go and put on everything else whenever we can find the time… Let’s see about that…

What I do know is that I have written a bunch of songs that I feel can be really great in the end, so I will record them somehow, somewhere with someone…

Rehearsed new song today.

We spent about two and a half hour rehearsing drums for a new song today, hopefully we can record it in a few days and then there’s only one full song left except for the thrashy intro. If we have enough time this one will have guest vocals by ********…

Tons of updates today!

I finally have managed to copy everything from the old website unto this one, and even found a few things never published before… Still there are plenty of stuff left to do, but at least I’m making progress!

Ereb Altor “The End”

I have just finished (most of) the layout and design for the new Ereb Altor album, called “The End”… The album will be a killer once again!
Below is a small preview of the album cover art… they chose this one from about 10 others I had made.

MySpace of doom!

We have recorded the drums for what we call the “doom”-song (it will be quit obvious when you hear it)… guitars will have to wait until later. Hopefully we will have time for rehearseing this weekend so the drums for the remaining two tracks can be finished.

Also, I finally did alot of updates on our MySpace page. It looks pretty much as this site but in MySpace-style…
